The central wind of the rotary kiln burner has the following five functions:
1. Prevent coal powder backflow from blocking the burner outlet
The central air volume should not be too large, generally accounting for about 10% of the primary air volume. Excessive air volume will not only increase the primary air volume, but also increase the axial speed of the valley center, reduce the speed difference between the two peaks of the saddle shape and the valley bottom, and is not conducive to the mixing and combustion of coal powder.
2. Cool the burner end and protect the nozzle
The burner is full of hot air around it, and its end face is not protected by refractory materials and is completely exposed to the outside, which hinders the high-temperature gas and negative pressure backflow, cools the inside of the burner, and cools the end face, achieving the purpose of protecting the burner.
3. The flame is more stable
The central air and circulating air injected through the plate hole flame stabilizer can cause decompression, making the flame more stable and ensuring the long life of the flame stabilizer.
4. Reduce the generation of harmful gas nitrogen dioxide
The center area of the flame is where the coal powder is concentrated, forming an internal circulation, and it can be completely burned with little excess air. The central air is cold air. After being introduced into the kiln, the attenuation process of the flow field in the kiln is significantly slowed down, the contact area between the coal powder contained in the primary air jet and the primary air is reduced, and the time is increased, but the mixing intensity is not weakened, so the content of nitrogen dioxide in the exhaust gas can be reduced, generally by 80%-60%.
5. Assist in adjusting the flame shape to improve the quality of clinker
Although the central air volume and pressure are not large, it has a certain auxiliary effect on adjusting the flame shape.
