What are the characteristics of rotary kiln burners?

Time :2024-08-03 40

Rotary kiln burners, also known as rotary kiln pulverized coal burners, are often used in industrial kilns. As a powerful tool for energy saving and consumption reduction, high quality and high yield in industrial kilns, in actual use, irregular binders often grow at the tail of the rotary kiln burner, affecting the flame shape and use effect of the rotary kiln pulverized coal burner.

The manufacturer of rotary kiln burners said that the burner is one of the main components of the rotary kiln system. It consists of system equipment with different structures and performances, and can be used as a combustion device for different fuels. Generally speaking, the basic basis for selecting a set of burner devices is:

1. The suitability of the selected energy medium.

2. Compatibility with the selected calcining equipment (rotary kiln).

3. Adjustability to meet the needs of combustion and calcination.

The rotary kiln burner has different characteristics in structure and performance according to the selected fuel. There are many kinds of burners. But no matter what the conditions, they should have the basic characteristics of the flame shape when the fuel is ejected from the burner and starts to burn.

Different burners produce different flame shapes. The reason is that the required flame shape can only be formed by meeting the requirements of rotary kiln performance and calcined materials. Such as long flame, short flame, wide flame, narrow flame. So while understanding the performance of a set of burners, we must also have a basic understanding of the concept of flame.

The operating state of the rotary kiln depends to a large extent on the performance of the burner. The degree of material calcination depends on the temperature required by the material. The temperature comes from the heat generated by the calcination of the fuel and the heat transfer effect. In the heat transfer process, there must be a hot air flow that reaches the ideal temperature. The specific manifestation of the hot air flow temperature comes from the influence of the flame shape and the temperature generated by the combustion state. There are many factors that can affect the shape of the flame. For example, burner structure, fuel properties, kiln length, inner diameter, air configuration, ventilation conditions, etc.

During normal operation, when the temperature of the kiln burning zone is low, open the large inner air butterfly valve, close the small outer air butterfly valve, shorten the flame, open the large outer air butterfly valve to increase the temperature in front of the kiln, close the opening of the inner air butterfly valve, prolong the flame, maintain a certain kiln rapid conversion rate, and improve clinker output and product quality.

The manufacturer of rotary kiln burners said that if the kiln skin is found to be too thick or agglomerated, it should be dealt with in time, otherwise it will affect the clinker output and quality. Put all the burners in the rotary kiln into the kiln, fully open the external air butterfly valve, reduce the opening of the internal air butterfly valve, and also open the stroke valve to make the flame longer and move the burning zone backward. If the furnace temperature is too high and flat materials are found, it can be proved that the rear ring has fallen off. Return all burners to the kiln mouth, close the external air butterfly valve, and open the internal air butterfly valve. Since there are many factors that cause ringing, it is not difficult to deal with it as long as the method is reasonable according to the kiln type, ring structure and specific situation analysis.
